Steak and Eggs over Easy in Purgatory

This past weekend I went to Cleveland Ohio for a friends wedding. It was quite the chore to get out of the state of Georgia. Enterprise ended up being too expensive and so we chose the cheaper option: air transportation.
While in Ohio, I was able to cross paths with several native "yanks."
I ran across a lady from new Mexico and found out that she was a clinical psychologist. It was pretty rad to discover that she has a heart for people, like me, but ended up resigning from her position because of a heightened liability.

A gentleman that I sat next to on the plane was a starting out clinical psychologist. The guy was in his late twenties and early thirties.

Maybe it was coincidence that I met two psychologists in one weekend>

Always Time for Cake

Even in the most routine of days, something calls out to you and makes you realize that people are so vastly different than your own self. People often learn to bend life situations to make up for their decisions in life. I had jstu met this person tonight during work hours who stated that he would always make excuses and almost lose his job because of drinking. Sneaking around his friends. Cancelling on others. Staying indoors. Missing out on what life has to offer. Just because of liquor.

Does it really taste that good?

Short Changed

As luck would have it, my day off was plagued by cold rain and a slight runny nose. Starting off the day with a cup of Starbucks and some shopping did its way to combat the forces of cold symptoms. While I was out throwing things in my cart, I came across one of my old patients. We exchanged a common greeting and parted ways. My eyes started to follow him and wonder to see how he was outside of the hospital setting. He was with some family member and seemed to be having the time of his life pushing a cart and reminiscing about Christmases missed. By his hand gestures and resolved facial expression, I knew that he was doing alright. Same old fella, I suppose. Realizing what time it was, I ran to the checkout.

A Fresh Start

After much thought, I finally wanted to start a blog. There are countless people I encounter on a daily basis between working two jobs and scrounging up what bits of a social life I have. The title of this blog says a lot and while this blog isnt necessarily about me,its always nice to know the origination of a thought process. After graduating from college, I have become to feed my desire to be a workaholic. Sociability and leisure have become back-burner topics as of late. The only hobby that has sustained through the weeks and months of this workaholic-ism has been "people." The very thing that fuels my places of employment. You see, I work as a barista by day and work for a psychatric hospital by night.

My journey is to document my passion. Studying people is my passion.
